Intent
We provide opportunities for all children to create, play, perform and enjoy music, to develop the skills to appreciate a wide variety of musical forms, and to begin to make judgements about the quality of music.
At Stickney Primary School, we want children to feel they are musical and develop a life-long love of music.

Kapow Music Curriculum
The Kapow Music Curriculum introduces children to music from all around the world and across generations, teaching children to respect and appreciate the music of all traditions and communities. The curriculum focuses on developing skills, knowledge and understanding in order to become confidence performers, composers and listeners.
Learning an Instrument
Whole Class
As part of our music curriculum, children will learn to play the glockenspiel, alongside a range of untuned percussion instruments.
